Professional training on Design of Aircraft Structures
This comprehensive 2-day course covers: an introduction to design philosophy and criteria; airframe configuration; margin of safety concept; validation and testing; materials, material selection, design allowables and values; failure theories and interaction methods; fundamental concepts including load paths; free body diagrams; idealization and classical, empirical and finite element analysis methods. This course also includes design of structures under tensile, compressive, shear, and combined loads, and design of joints, fittings, and lugs. An introduction to design for fail safety, durability and damage tolerance is also presented. Design and analysis competencies are also discussed. The course includes practice problems and a design project.

Research Assistant had worked on an EPSRC (UK) project entitled ‘Key technologies for enhancing energy efficiency of the dew point air cooler and its manufacturing’. Responsible for the development and investigation into the feasibility study on cooling efficiency of fabric/aluminum panels for indirect evaporative cooling systems: towards the next generation.
